Charging Coil Testing
Removethe electric case connector [A] Disconnect the 3-pin connector [B] Temporaril connect the magneto leads except the charging coil leads (brown)
Wit multimeter, check the charging coil output (in circuit) according to the following table with the engine running at approximately 6,000 rpm
To avoid electrical shock, do not perform this test with !he watercraft in the water
CAUTION
Do not run the engine over 15 seconds without cooling waterTake care not over-rev the engine while running it with no loadCharging Coil Output Test Meter Setting Connections Meter)to Brown lead Meter-to Brown lead Standard Value
If the charging coil output voltage is correct, check the regulator according to the regulator test procedure if the charging coil output voltage is low, check the charging cod resistance with rnultimeter according to the following tableCharging Coil Resistance Test Meter Setting RxIQ Connections Meter+to Brown lead Meter-to Brown lead Standard Value
