e Remove the battery (see Battery Removal in the Electrical System chapter)eClean the exterior with solution of baking soda and water (one heaping tablespoon of baking soda in one cup of water)Rinse thoroughly with watereCheck the electrolyte and fill to the upper level! mark with distilled water, if necessaryeCheck the specific gravity with hydrometer and recharge if necessaryeCover both battery terminals with greaseeStore the battery in cool, dry pl'aceDo not expose it to freezing temperatures
