.Clean the steering pivot stud [A) and check the surface for corrosion and wearIf thestud is corroded or noticeably worn, replace it
Remove the stud frorn the steering support bracket
o The stud and nut are installed with loelcing agent
If necessaryheat the nut and stud with torch to make removal eas;81
Clean the threads in the support bracket thoroughly and install the new st.ud with alocking agent and tighten it to the specified torqueTorqueSteering Pivot Siud38 N-m (3.8 kg-m28 ft.Ib)
.Check the bushings [A] for damage and wear
