20-2.2 SUPPLEMENT1991 MODEL If there is any doubt as to the condition of reed, replace the reed valve assemblyIf reed becomes wavy, replace the reed valVe assembly with new one even if reed warp is less than the service limit
Fuel Tank Fuel T-ank Removal
Remove the battery Loosen the fuel outlet ring nut to releas,e any pressure in the tank.Remove the oil tank (see Oil Tank Removal in the Eng:,ne lubrication System chapter) Remove the fuel outl'et assembly
Vav:e Holder Inspection
Check the reed contact areas of the valve holder for grooves, scratches, or other damage Check that the rubber coating on the valve holder does not show any si,gns of separation from the holdercoating, rep.lace the reed valve assembly with new one
If there is any doubt as to the condition of the rubber
