COOLING AND BILGE SYSTEMS 8-5 eLoosen the clamp on the cooling hose that loops from the cylinder head to the exhaust pipe at the exhaust pipe
ABypass Outlet
eLet the engine idle for several minutes with the water runningeTurn offthe waterLeave the engine idlingeRaise the rear of the craft and rev the engine few times to clear the water out of the exhaust system
ePull the cooling hose off the exhaust pipe fittingeFit the "Tee" adapter into the end of the cooling hose and fi:t the end of the rubber hose onto the fitting on the exhaust pipe
not run the engine without cool ing water flowing for more than 15 seconds at timeOverheating will cause severe engine and exhaust system damage
eSwitch off the engine, remove the "Tee" adapter, and reconnect the cooling hose to the fiUing on the exhaust pipe
