Symptom Malfunction detected in the primary lead of the ignition coilIgnition coil Check or maintenance job Check the connector and coupler for any pins that may be pulled out Check the locking condition of the connector and coupler If there is malfunction, repair it and connect the coupler or connector securely Repair or replace if there is an open or short circuit Between ignition coil connector and ECU coupler(orangeorange) Between ignition coil connector and left handlebar switch coupler(redblackredblack) Execute the diagnostic mode(Code No.D30) Test the primary and secondary coils for continuity Replace if defectiveRefer to "IGNITION SYSTEM" in chapter 9Reinstatement method Starting the engine and operating it at idle
