CHECKING THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL EBS00064

CHECKING THE ENGINE OIL LEVEL 1Place the vehicle on level surface2Check the engine oil level on cold engineNOTE: If the engine was started before checking the oil level, be sure to warm up the engine sufficiently, and then wait at least 10 minutes until the oil settles for an accurate reading3Remove: dipstick accessing panel Refer to "SEAT AND SIDE PANELS"
4Check: engine oil level Oil level should be between the minimum level mark and maximum level mark bOil level low Add oil to the proper level

NOTE: To obtain an accurate oil level reading, the dipstick must be inserted completely into the oil filter holeRecommended engine oil type YAMALUBE 4, SAE5W30, SAE10W30 or SAE20W40 Recommended engine oil grade API service SG type or higher, JASO standard MA CAUTION: Do not allow foreign material to enter the crankcase5Check the engine oil level againCAUTION: Be sure the engine oil is at the correct level, otherwise engine damage may result
