Ignition System: 7) Connect the multi-circuit tester with the peak voltage adaptor as follows:! 1H-5

8) Measure the ignition coil primary peak voltage in the following procedures:

CAUTION

WARNING

Before using the multi-circuit tester and peak voltage adaptor, refer to the appropriate instruction manualNOTE Do not disconnect the ignition coil lead wiresSpecial tool0990025008 (Multi-circuit tester set) Tester knob indication: Voltage((+) Probe) Ignition coil BW lead wire terminal(() Probe) WBl lead wire terminal or Ground

Do not touch the tester probes and spark plug to prevent an electric shock while testinga) Shift the transmission to the neutral, turn the ignition switch ON and grasp the clutch leverb) Press the starter button and allow the engine to crank for few seconds, and then measure the ignition coil primary peak voltage9) Repeat the b) procedure few times and measure the highest peak voltageIf the voltage is lower than standard range, inspect the ignition coil and the CKP sensorIgnition coil primary peak voltage 150 and more 10) After measuring the ignition coil primary peak voltage, reinstall the removed partsIgnition Coil Resistance 1) Disconnect the spark plug capRefer to "Ignition Coil and Plug Cap Inspection (Page 1H-4)"2) Disconnect the ignition coil lead wire3) Measure the ignition coil resistance in both the primary and secondary coilsIf the resistance is not within the standard range, replace the ignition coil with new one
