Engine Electrical Devices:

TP Sensor Adjustment

Adjust the TP sensor in the following procedures: 1) Warm up the engine and check the idling speedRefer to "Engine Idle Speed Inspection and Adjustment in Section 0B (Page 0B-10)"2) Turn the ignition switch OFF3) Disconnect the TP sensor coupler (1)Refer to "TP Sensor Removal and Installation (Page 1C-3)"

7) If the TP sensor adjustment is necessary, loosen the TP sensor mounting screw with the special toolSpecial tool0993011950 (Torx wrench) 8) Turn the TP sensor (2) and adjust the TP sensor until the output voltage comes within to specified valveI933H1130011-01

9) Tighten the TP sensor mounting screw with the special toolSpecial tool0993011950 (Torx wrench)

4) Connect the test harness between the TP sensor and its coupler5) Turn the ignition switch ON6) Measure the TP sensor output voltage between the yellow wire terminal (+) and BBr wire terminal ()Special tool (A): 0990025008 (Multi-circuit tester set) (B): 0990028630 (TPS test wire harness) Tester knob indication Voltage) TP sensor output voltage 0.6 3.8 ((+) terminal: () terminal: BBr)
