3B-31 Differential: Right Side Shim Selection 1) Put few pieces of solder (1) (O.D 1.2 1.5 mm (0.05 0.06 in) L: mm (0.24 in)) on the back side of final driven gear, as shown in the figureNOTE Do not install the right side shim(-s) at this time3) Remove the final gear case cover4) Measure the thickness of compressed solder with the micrometerSpecial tool0990020205 (Micrometer (0 25 mm)) Shim thickness Compressed solder thickness0.1 mm (0.004 in)

2) Install the final gear case cover and tighten its bolts to the specified torque diagonallyTightening torque Final gear case cover bolt (a): 23 Nm (2.3 kgfm, 16.5 lb-ft) NOTE Do not install new O-ring to the gear cover Do not apply thread lock to the bolts
