Generator Removal and Installation
Removal 1) Disconnect the () battery lead wireRefer to "Battery Removal and Installation (Page 1J-13)"2) Drain engine oilRefer to "Engine Oil and Filter Replacement in Section 0B (Page 0B-7)"3) Remove the left side cover and left footrest mudguardRefer to "Exterior Parts Removal and Installation in Section 9D (Page 9D-3)"4) Remove the recoil starter assembly (1)

8) Disengage the gearshift link arm (4) (LT-F400F) and transfer gearshift arm (5)
