Engine Lubrication System:
Cooling Fan Thermo-Switch Inspection
Inspect the cooling fan thermo-switch in the following procedures: 1) Remove the cooling fan thermo-switchRefer to "Cooling Fan Thermo-switch Removal and Installation (Page 1E-13)"2) Check the thermo-switch closing or opening temperatures by testing it at the bench as shown in the figure3) Connect the thermo-switch (1) to the circuit tester and place it in oil "A" contained in pan, which is placed on the stove4) Heat the oil to raise its temperature slowly and read the column thermometer (2) when the switch closes or opensIf any abnormality is found, replace the cooling fan thermo-switch with new one

Engine Oil Temperature Switch Removal and Installation
Removal 1) Remove the left side of the front inner fenderRefer to "Exterior Parts Removal and Installation in Section 9D (Page 9D-3)"2) Disconnect the engine oil temperature switch coupler3) Place rag under the switch and remove the engine oil temperature switch (1)
