Steering System Inspection

Toe-In Adjustment
Inspect steering system Initially at 200 km (100 miles, month) and every 000 km (600 miles, months) thereafter Steering should be adjusted properly for smooth turning of handlebars and safe running1) Place the vehicle on level ground2) Make sure the tire pressure for right and left tires in the same and set to the proper specification3) Set the front wheels in the straight position4) Place load of 75 kg (165 lbs) on the seat5) Measure the distances ("A" and "B") between the front wheelsSubtract the measurement of "B" from that of "A" to find the toe-inIf the toe-in is not within specification, adjust the tie-rod to the right or left until the toe-in is within the specified rangeToe-in ("A" "B") Standard: 10 mm (0.4 in)
Adjust the toe-out as follows: 1) Loosen the lock-nuts (1), (2) on each tie-rod
