0B-9 Maintenance and Lubrication: 7) Install the new oil filterTurn it by hand until you feel that the oil filter O-ring contacts the oil filter mounting surfaceThen, tighten the oil filter two full turns (or to the specified torque) using the special toolNOTE To properly tighten the oil filter, use the special toolNever tighten the oil filter by hand onlySpecial tool (A): 0991540610 (Oil filter wrench) Tightening torque Oil filter (a): 20 Nm (2.0 kgf-m, 14.5 lb-ft)(a) (A)
3) Remove the oil filler plug (1) and oil level plug (2)If the oil level is below the level hole, add new oil through the filler hole until the oil flows out from the level holeUse hypoid gear oil SAE #90, API grade GL-5NOTE Use hypoid gear oil SAE #80, API grade GL-5, if the vehicle is ridden where the ambient temperature is below (32 F)I827H1020012-01
4) Tighten the oil level plug (2) and oil filler plug (1) to the specified torqueI718H1020026-01
CAUTION
8) Pour new oil through the oil fillerUse oil of SFSG or SHSJ in API with MA in JASONecessary amount of engine oil LT-A400F Oil change: 900 ml (3.12.6 USlmpqt) Oil and filter change:3 100 ml (3.32.7 USlmpqt) Engine overhaul:3 400 ml (3.63.0 USlmpqt) LT-F400F Oil change: 000 ml (3.22.6 USlmpqt) Oil and filter change:3 200 ml (3.42.8 USlmpqt) Engine overhaul:3 500 ml (3.73.1 USlmpqt) 9) Start up the engine and allow it to run for several minutes at idling speed after tightening the oil filler cap10) Check the oil levelRefer to "Oil Level Inspection: (Page 0B-7)"11) Install the removed parts
