ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
If the speedometer, odometer or trip meter does not function properlyInspect the speed sensor and connection of couplersIf the speed sensor and connection is all right, replace the speedometer with new oneSPEED SENSOR Remove the left footrest mud guard(7-8) Disconnect the speed sensor lead wire coupler Remove the speed sensor Arrange four new 1.5 batteries in series (check that total voltage is 6.0 6.5 V) and connect terminal to ground terminal and to the Vcc terminalConnect resistor and the multi circuit tester as shown09900-25008: Multi circuit tester set Tester knob indication: Voltage () Under above condition, when suitable screwdriver touching the pick-up surface of the speed sensor moves, the tester reading voltage relatively changes (0 or V)If the tester reading voltage does not change, replace the speed sensor with new oneNOTE: The highest tester reading voltage (6 V) while testing is same as the total voltage of four batteriesVcc 1.5V Battery (6.0V in total)
