ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE Remove the left front inner fender( 7-5) Disconnect the ignition coil lead wires and spark plug cap, and remove the ignition oilMeasure the ignition coil resistance in both the primary and secondary windings using the multi circuit testerIf the resistance in both the primary and secondary windings is close to the specified values, the windings are in sound condition
09900-25008: Multi circuit tester set Tester knob indication: Resistance () Ignition coil resistance Primary0.05 1.0 (+Terminal -Terminal) Secondary10 20 (Spark plug cap +Terminal)
PICKUP COIL PEAK VOLTAGE NOTE: Make sure all of the couplers are connected properly Disconnect the CDI unit coupler 1Measure the pickup coil peak voltage in the following procedure Connect the multi circuit tester with the peak volt adaptor as follows
