659 CHASSIS Install the selection lever cable CD into the cable stopper CV on the frameThen, finger tighten the selection lever cable adjusting nuts to hold it in placeNOTE: Make sure the selection lever cable is positioned so that the cable stopper on the frame is between the selection lever cable adjusting nuts and washers
Place the cable eye rod between the two tabs of the shift lever and turn the cable adjusting nuts to align the selection lever cable eye rod hole with the pin holes in the tabs on the shift lever Tighten the adjusting nuts to securely install the selection lever cable to the cable stopperIA
CAUTION I
Make sure to adjust the selection cable length properlyImproper adjustment may result in poor shifting and damage to the cable, selection lever, or shift lever Align the selection lever cable eye rod hole and pin holes with the notch in the center (4WO) position of the shift lever case bracketFasten the selection lever cable and shift lever, by putting pin through the pin holes from the inside of the shift case lever bracket, and an Ering to the pinNOTE: Direction of the eye rod is determined by the side, differential case side or crankcase side, it is installed onIA
