Remove the cylinder head cover and read the width of the compressed plastigauge with the envelope scaleThis measurement should be taken at the widest part of the compressed plastigaugeIf the camshaft journal oil clearance exceeds the limit, measure the inside diameter of the camshaft journal holder and outside diameter of the camshaft journalReplace the camshaft or the cylinder head and cylinder head cover depending upon which one exceeds the specification
