PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
INITIAL ENGAGEMENT AND CLUTCH LOCK-UP INSPECTION
The LT-F300LT-F300F is equipped with centrifugal type automatic clutch To insure proper performance and longevity of the clutch assemblies it is essential that the clutches engage smoothly and graduallyTwo inspection checks must be performed to thoroughly check the operation of the drive train Follow the procedures listed
NOTE: Before checking the initial engagement and clutch lock-up, check the oilleveWarm up the engine
INITIAL ENGAGEMENT INSPECTION
Connect tachometer onto spark plug lead Start the engine Shift the sUb-transmission lever to the "High" position and then shift the gearshift lever to the "Low" position While seated on the machine, slowly increase the engine speed and record the speed (rmin) when the machine begins to move forward Engagement speed (rmin)
