fUEL AND LUBRICATION SYSTEM

FUEl TANK AND FUEL COCK
When the engine has startednegative pressure (vacuum pressure) is generated at the intake portThe negative pressure acts upon the diaphragm of the fuel cock and it presses down the spring which supports
the diaphragm so that the fuel passageway is opened and fuel is fed to the carburetor
When the engine has stopped, the spring presses the valve, the fuel passageway is closed, and no fuel flows to the engineWhen the carburetor has been overhauled, no fuel exists in the carburetorIn order to feed fuel directly to the carburetor, priming position is provided on the fuel cockTo prime the carbu retor with fuel, turn the lever clockwise or counterclockwise by quarter turn (to the PR position)After the engine has started, return the lever to the original position (ON posi tion)
