BRAKES FRONT MASTER CYLINDER ALL MODELS
Removal
1Clean master cylinder and reservoir assemblyMake sure you have clean work area to disassemble brake components2Remove master cylinder from handlebars2Place new sealing washers on each side of banjo fitting on the brake line and torque banjo bolt to specificationTorque to 15 ft.lbs(21 Nm) Sealing Washer
Banjo Bolt
CAUTION
Brake fluid will damage finished surfacesDo not allow brake fluid to come in contact with finished surfaces3While holding upright, continue to remove master cylinderCover the brake line to avoid spillage when removing the brake line banjo bolt
Brake Line
Banjo Bolt Torque: 15 ft.lbs(21 Nm) 3Fill reservoir with DOT-approved brake fluid
