CLUTCHING Assembly
1Inspect PVT inner cover-to engine sealReplace if cracked or damagedApply RTV Silicone Here 7Install clutch alignment washer(s) on transmission input shaftAlignment Washer(s)
8Clean splines inside driven clutch and on the transmission input shaft2Place new foam seal on transmission input shaft3Apply RTV silicone sealant to outside edge of inner cover-to-engine seal, to ensure water tight fit between the seal and the coverSurfaces must be clean to ensure adhesion of silicone sealant4Reinstall cover and tighten rear cover bolts just enough to hold it in place5Fit lip of inner cover seal (A) to engineInstall seal retainer plate and tighten screws securelyB 9Apply light film of grease to the splines on the shaft10Install the driven clutch, washer, lock washer, and retaining boltTorque to specification11Clean end of taper on crankshaft and the taper bore inside drive clutch12Install drive clutch and torque the NEW retaining bolt to specification13Reinstall drive belt noting direction of rotationIf new belt is installed, install so numbers can be easily read14Replace PVT outer clutch cover rubber gasket15Reinstall PVT outer clutch cover and secure with screwsTorque to specification
