12345Remove the front cabRemove the handle bar podRemove the handle barRemove the fuel tank bracket assemblyRemove the steering tie rod ends from the steering bracketNote the orientation of the fasteners and bracket on the steering assembly6Remove the steering post nuts at the mount plate7Remove the top steering bracket8Remove the steering post
SUSPENSION
Front Strut Cartridge Replacement
NOTE: Refer to illustration on following page1Hold strut rod and remove top nut2Remove upper strut pivot assembly
Strut Rod Wrench: (PN 2871572) Strut Spring Compressor Tools: (PN 2871573) and (PN 2871574)
3Compress spring using any commercially available spring compressor tool and remove the spacer nut4Remove coil spring and collapse strut cartridge5Remove two pinch bolts from strut casting6Remove strut cartridge7Install cartridge until bottomed in strut casting8Install pinch bolts with wire clamp(s)Torque pinch bolts to specification
