500 EFI FUEL SYSTEM Air Control Body Removal and Disassembly
1Remove the seat and loosen the air control body clamps2Remove the air box3Pull the assembly from the connection tube leading to the throttle body4Remove the diaphragm cover screws and coverInspect the spring and spring stop for wear or corrosionReplace as required5Remove the diaphragm and slide assembly from the body6Remove the jet block screws and jet block from the body7Inspect components for wear, burr marks, debris, etcthat would inhibit slide travelReplace components as required
Air Control Body Assembly and Installation
1Install the jet block and jet block screws to the bodyTighten screws sufficiently2Install the diaphragm and slide assembly to the bodyVerify diaphragm is aligned in body groove properly 3Install the spring stop and spring, verifying the stop is firmly seated in the guillotine slideInstall the diaphragm cover and screwsTighten sufficiently4Insert the assembly onto the connection tube leading to the throttle body5Install the air box and connection tube6Tighten the air control body clamps and air box screws sufficiently
