ENGINE Piston Removal
1Remove circlipNote piston directional arrow pointing toward the right (Mag) side of engine4Repeat procedure for second ringThe oil control ring is three piece design consisting of top and bottom steel rail and center expander sectionThe top rail has locating tab on the end which fits into notch (A) in the upper oil ring land of the piston
2Remove piston circlip and push piston pin out of pistonIf necessary, heat the crown of the piston slightly with propane torchCAUTION: Do not apply heat to the piston ringsThe ring may lose radial tension3Remove top compression ring5Remove the top rail first followed by the bottom rail6Remove the expander
