MAINTENANCE Air FilterPre-Filter Service
It is recommended that the air filter and pre filter be replaced annuallyWhen riding in extremely dusty conditions, replacement is required more oftenThe pre filter should be inspected before each ride, and if required, cleaned using the following procedure: 1Lift up on the rear of the seat2Pull the seat back and free of the tabsNOTE: When reinstalling seat, make sure the slots in the seat engage the tabs in the fuel tank3Remove (6) clips (A) from air box cover and remove coverInspect the gasketIt should adhere tightly to the cover and seal all the way aroundInstallation: 9Reinstall pre-filter element over main filterBe sure the element covers entire surface of main filter without folds, creases, or gaps10Reinstall filter on main filter mountPlace filter clamp over the assembly and tightenNOTE: Apply small amount of general purpose grease to the sealing edges of the filter before reinstallingFilter Clamp
