Drive Shaft Removal
1Elevate front of vehicle and safely support machine under the frame area6Remove the upper ball joint pinch boltPinch Bolt
Serious injury may result if machine tips or fallsBe sure machine is secure before beginning this service procedureWear eye protection when removing bearings and seals23Remove the (4) wheel nuts and remove the front wheelRemove the cotter pin and loosen the front wheel hub castle nutRemove the nut, and (2) cone washers from the front wheel hub assemblyCastle Nut Cone Washers 78Using soft faced hammer, lightly tap on the bearing carrier while removing the upper ball joint endRemove the drive shaft from the front bearing carrier
