CLUTCHING Clutch Inspection
NOTE: Remove cover, spring, and spider following instructions for drive clutch removal, then proceed as follows: 12Remove the moveable sheave spacer sleeve (1) and the thrust washer (2)Visually inspect the washer for damageMeasure the thickness and compare to specificationReplace if worn or damaged1 5Inspect surface of shaft for pitting, grooves, or damageMeasure the outside diameter and compare to specificationsReplace the drive clutch assembly if shaft is worn or damagedThickness of spacer may differ from what is shown
