ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION Fuel Pump Replacement WARN G
Always wear safety goggles when working with high pressure or flammable fluidsFailure to do so could result in serious injury or complications123Remove the passenger seat to access the fuel pumpEnsure that static has been discharged from you by touching ground source such as the engine or frameDisconnect the fuel pump electrical harness5Be sure the top of the fuel tank is cleanIf it requires cleaning, hand wash the top of the tank to ensure no debris will enter the fuel system when the fuel pump is removedClean this area

Failure to clean area around fuel pump may lead to debris entering the fuel tank during serviceExcessive debris in fuel tank may cause premature wear of fuel pump andor clogging of internal fuel filters6Place the Fuel Pump Service Tool (PU-50326) over the fuel pump PFA nutUsing 12" drive ratchet or breaker bar, loosen and remove the PFA nutDiscard the PFA nutWhile holding shop towel over the fuel line connector, disconnect the quick connect fuel line from the fuel pump
