1Clean and dry the combustion chamber area (A)
Valve Lifter RemovalInspection
123Remove the valve lifters by reaching into the crankcase and pushing the lifter up through the lifter bore by handThoroughly clean the lifters in cleaning solvent and wipe them with clean, lint-free clothMark the lifters with white pen if using the lifters for reassemblyThis will ensure that the lifters are properly placed during engine reassemblyMark Hydraulic Lifter
