MAINTENANCE NOTE: While adjusting, lightly move the throttle pedal in and out789Re-tighten the jam nut after final adjustment is madeApply small amount of grease to the inside of the boot and slide it over the cable adjuster to its original positionReinstall the PVT intake duct and tighten the hose clampAir Filter Cap Seal NOTE: If the filter has been soaked with fuel or oil it must be replaced
10Reinstall the air intake box and (2) push rivets11Reinstall the cargo box, all fasteners and reconnect the taillight harness12Reinstall the rear service panel and seats
Air Filter Service
It is recommended that the air filter be inspected as part of pre-ride inspectionAlways apply grease to the seal under the air box cap and on the sealing edges of the air filter when servicingIn extremely dusty conditions, air filter replacement will be required more oftenThe filter should be inspected using the following procedure: Removal 12The air box is located just above the left rear wheel in the wheel well areaUnlatch the (3) clips and remove the air box capInspect the sealIt should adhere tightly to the cover and seal all the way aroundAir Box Cap NOTE: Service more frequently if vehicle is operated in wet conditions or at high throttle operation for extended periodsInstallation 12Clean the air box thoroughlyPlace the filter ring over the end of the filter
