TRANSMISSION 15Lift up on the lower shift fork and rotate the end into the cam18Install the oil deflector plate and install new retaining screwsTorque screws to specification
Deflector Plate Retaining Screws: 7-10 ftlbs(9-14 Nm) 19Install the rear output shaft assembly and silent chain20Lubricate all seal lips to prevent damage upon assembly21Lift up slightly on the rear output shaft and install the compensator shaft and front output shaft assemblies22If primary shaft was serviced, reinstall shaft assembly into the transmission caseApply grease to the primary shaft shim(s) and place them into the transmission cover23Carefully install the transmission cover onto the transmissionApply even pressure to cover while setting into placeA soft-faced hammer can be used once the cover is started and alignedIMPORTANT: Take care not to damage seals during cover installation24Install the retaining bolts and torque to specificationLeave (2) bolts out to use later when tightening the coupler
