BRAKES HAND BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER
Removal
1Clean master cylinder and reservoir assemblyMake sure you have clean work area to disassemble brake componentsPlace shop towel or suitable catch container under the master cylinder brake line connectionRemove the banjo bolt fitting that connects the brake line to the master cylinderDiscard the sealing washersMaster Cylinder 1Install master cylinder on handlebarsTorque bolt furthest from the reservoir first, followed by the bolt closest to the reservoirTorque clamp bolts to 70 inlbs(8 Nm)70 inlbs(8 Nm) Torque Bolt First

7 inlbs(0.8 Nm)

NOTE: Speed up brake bleeding by purging air before brake line is attachedFill with DOT Brake Fluid and pump lever slowly to times with finger over the outlet end to purge master cylinder of air2Remove Banjo Fitting Place new sealing washers on each side of banjo line and torque banjo bolt to specification
