FINAL DRIVE Bushing Replacement
12Check bearing carrier bushings and shafts for excessive wear or damageIf replacement is required, slide shafts out and remove the bushings with drift punch
Installation
1Install drive shaft axle through the backside of the bearing carrierBe sure bushings and pivot tubes are installedInstall the fasteners that attach the rear bearing carrier to the upper and lower A-armsTorque bolts to specificationShort Bolt 40 ftlbs(54 Nm)
Thoroughly clean the bearing carrier and inspect for excessive wear or damageReplace rear bearing carrier if damagedInstall new shafts and bushingsPress the bushings into the bearing carrier until they are flush with the mating surfaceGrease the the rear bearing carrier fittings after it has been installed and the rear A-arms have been attached
