1Elevate front of vehicle and safely support machine under the frame area678Remove the front wheel hub assemblyRemove the cotter pin from the bottom of the tie rod endHold the top of the rod end with 13 mm open-end wrench and remove the nut from the bottomTie Rod End
Serious injury may result if machine tips or fallsBe sure machine is secure before beginning this service procedureAlways wear eye protection2Check bearings for side play by grasping the top and bottom of the tire firmly and checking for movementThe tire should rotate smoothly without binding or rough spotsRemove the (4) wheel nuts and remove the front wheel (see "Wheel Removal")Remove the cotter pin and loosen the front wheel hub castle nutRemove the nut and (2) cone washers from the front wheel hub assemblyCastle Nut Cone Washers 9Remove the steering tie rod from the bearing carrier
