Transmission Lubrication
NOTE: It is important to follow the transmission maintenance intervals described in the Periodic Maintenance ChartRegular fluid level inspections should be performed as wellThe transmission fluid level should be checked and changed in accordance with the maintenance schedule Be sure vehicle is positioned on level surface when checking or changing the fluid Check vent hose to be sure it is routed properly and unobstructedTransmission Fluid Level Check The fill plug is located on the right-hand side of the transmissionAccess the fill plug through the rear right-hand wheel wellMaintain the fluid level even with the bottom threads of the fill plug hole12Position vehicle on level surfaceRemove the fill plug and check the fluid levelDrain Plug

Transmission Fluid Change Access the drain plug through the rear right-hand wheel wellThe plastic skid plate can be removed for better access to the drain plug123Remove the fill plug (refer to "Transmission Fluid Level Check")Place drain pan under the transmission drain plugRemove the drain plug and allow fluid to drain completely
