MAINTENANCE
RADIATOR
1Check radiator air passages for restrictions or damage2Carefully straighten any bent radiator fins3Remove any obstructions with compressed air or low pressure water
2Fill reservoir to upper mark with Polaris Premium 6040 Anti FreezeCoolant (PN 2871323) or mixture of antifreeze and distilled water as required for freeze protection in your area3Reinstall capNOTE: If overheating is evident, allow system to cool completely and check coolant level in the radiatorInspect for signs of trapped air in system
COOLING SYSTEM PRESSURE TEST
Refer to Page 3.6 for pressure test procedure
RADIATOR COOLANT LEVEL INSPECTION
NOTE: This procedure is only required if the cooling system has been drained for maintenance andor repairHowever, if the recovery bottle has run dry, or if overheating is evident, the level in the radiator should be inspected and coolant added if necessaryWARNING
Never remove the radiator pressure cap when the engine is warm or hotEscaping steam and fluid can cause severe burnsThe engine must be allowed to cool before removing the pressure cap
