OIL SCRAPER RING
BE ESPECIALLY CAREFUL WHEN MOUNTING THE CYLINDER! BREAKS EASILY
Oil the piston and align the piston ringsNOTE: the joint on the oil scraper ring must be in the rearThe joint on the compression ring is positioned at 90 angle to the joint on the oil scraper ring Slide the piston ring compressor over the piston rings from above Slide the cylinder over the piston and remove the ring compressor
Mounting the cylinder head and timing chain
Make sure the two dowels in the cylinder are fully seatedMount new cylinder head gasket (the "ALTO" designation up)Mount the cylinder headPosition the timing chain, making sure both ends are the same length
