5-4 Pull the grooved ball bearing and shaft seal ring for the balancer shaftPull the grooved ball bearing out of the case half with bearing puller and pry out the shaft seal ringPress in new shaft seal ring until flush with the open side facing downPress in new grooved ball bearing up to the stop
Grooved ball bearing for the shift drum Remove the screw The grooved ball bearing will almost fall out of the bearing seat automatically when the case reaches temperature of approx150CIf necessary, tap the case half on level wood panelPress in new grooved ball bearing until flushApply Loctite 243 to the thread of the screw and tighten to NmNeedle bearing for the shift shaft Press in the needle bearing from the outsidePress in new needle bearing from the inside until flush When the case half has cooled, check the bearings for tight fitShaft seal ring the crankshaft Press in new shaft seal ring until flush with the open side towards the insideBearing bolt for the starter idler gear The bearing bolt is usually not subjected to wearIt is difficult to replace the bearing bolt since the case is usually damaged in the process
