BODYSTEERINGSUSPENSION 3Clean seal cavity and inspect bushing for wear or damage and replace bearing cap if necessary7Inspect valve piston ring for wearThe outer surface of the ring should be even in colorSet aside damper rod assembly for reinstallationLubricate new seals and Oring with Polaris shock oil and installBe sure the seals are seated completely in the seal cavityInspect jounce bumper (where applicable) and replace if damagedInspect damper rod for nicks, scratches or abrasionInstall bearing cap and thick backing washer on damper rodInstall compression valve washer stack in same order as disassemblyInstall valve piston with greater number of slots facing damper rod nut (toward IFP)Install rebound stack, washer, and new nutTorque nut to 12 ftlbs(17 Nm)56
