BODYSTEERINGSUSPENSION FOXTM Front Shock Disassembly
1Remove spring and bushings from shock eyesThoroughly wash shocks in parts washer or with soap and water to remove dirt and other debrisDry thoroughly with compressed airPosition and clamp body cap of shock in soft jaws (aluminum or brass) of viseRemove Allen screw from pressure valve3Remove valve and sealing Oring from body capExtend shock shaft by pulling up on shock eyeletUsing 1" (25 mm) or adjustable wrench, loosen shaft bearing cap2With valve outlet pointed in safe direction, insert red tip of safety needle assembly into recess in shock pressure valveDepress safety pin on safety needle and push gauge and needle assembly slowly toward shock, inserting needleBe sure to push needle completely into shock valveRelease nitrogen in safe direction by turning Thandle clockwise (if equipped) or by depressing Schrader valve pin5If body of shock starts to unscrew from body, tighten and try againTo keep body from turning, it may be necessary to use Body Clamp Tool clamped lightly around body in soft jaws of vise
