MAINTENANCE Recovery BottleCoolant Level Inspection
The recovery bottle is located on the right side of the vehicle under the front fenderThe fluid level in the recovery bottle must be maintainedNever remove the radiator pressure cap when the engine is warm or hotEscaping steam and fluid can cause severe burnsThe engine must be allowed to cool before removing the pressure cap123Check radiator external air flow passages for restrictions or damageCarefully straighten any bent radiator finsRemove any obstructions with compressed air or low pressure water

Recovery Bottle

If the recovery bottle has run dry, inspect the level in the radiator and add coolant if necessaryThe radiator pressure cap is located on the left side of the vehicle under the front fender1Remove the pressure cap
If coolant level is low, perform the following steps: 12Remove recovery bottle capVerify the breather foam is in place and the inner splash cap vent hole is clear and openFill the recovery bottle with Polaris Premium 6040 AntiFreezeCoolant (PN 2871323) or mixture of anti-freeze and distilled water as required for freeze protection in your areaFill the recovery bottle up to the visible level, then add an additional oz(175 ml) of coolant
