FINAL DRIVE 3Remove the differential assembly from the housing6Remove the shim(s) from the differential assemblyBe sure to keep the shims together for reassemblyInspect the ring gear and differential gears for chipped, worn, or broken teethRemove the bearing from the lower portion of the differential assemblyInspect the bearing for smoothness and wear5Remove the bearing from the top portion of the differential assemblyInspect the bearing for smoothness and wear8Remove the shim(s) from the differential assemblyBe sure to keep the shims together for reassembly
