FINAL DRIVE 6Make sure the circlip is on the shaft and not left in the jointNOTE: Shiny areas in ball tracks and on the cage spheres are normalDo not replace CV joints because parts have polished surfacesReplace CV joint only if components are cracked, broken, worn or otherwise unserviceable10Clean the splines on the end of the shaft and apply light coat of grease prior to reassembly11Slide the small boot clamp and boot (small end first) onto the drive shaft and position the boot in it's groove machined in the shaft12Install NEW circlip on the end of the shaft13Grease the joint with the special CV joint grease provided in the boot replacement kitFill the cavity behind the balls and the splined hole in the joint's inner racePack the ball tracks and outer face flush with greasePlace any remaining grease into the bootRemove the CV boot from the shaft
