FINAL DRIVE NOTE: Be sure to hold armature plate in place until the housing is completely resting on the cover plate12Line up the gearcase housing with the cover plate assemblySet the gearcase housing on top of the assembled cover plateTake care not to damage the new seal when installing the gearcase housingNOTE: Rotate the input shaft while setting the gearcase housing in place

NOTE: Ring gear backlash is set from the factoryNo adjustment is required unless the cover plate, ring gearclutch housing, or pinion gear assembly is replacedAdjustment is also required if the thrust plate adjustment screw is removed1Lay the gearcase on its side with the cover plate facing up
