ENGINE 23Inspect the crankshaft gear (Q) for broken or worn teethIf the crankshaft gear does not need to be replaced, it does not need to be removedIf the crankshaft gear is damaged, remove the crankshaft gear with the Flywheel Puller (PN 2871043)26Rotate the wateroil pump gear (S), so that all four bolts are visible though the gearRemove the four bolts with hex wrenchPull out the pump27Inspect the oil pump rotors for wearMark the rotors with white pen to ensure upon reassembly that the correct sides of the rotors are installed and mesh with the same edges as previously installed
