MAINTENANCE Main GearcaseLubricant Level Check: The fill plug is located on the side of the gearcase just below the shift lever bell crankMaintain the fluid level even with the bottom of the fill plug hole123Position vehicle on level surfaceRemove the fill plugCheck the fluid level
Transfer Case Lubricant Change: 12345678Remove the fill plug and the level check plug (refer to "Transfer CaseLubricant Level Check")Place drain pan under the transfer case drain plugRemove the drain plug and allow to drain completelyClean the drain plugReinstall the drain plug with new o-ring and torque to 30-45 inlbs(3-5 Nm)Add the recommended fluid through the fill plug hole until it begins to flow out the check plug holeDo not overfillReinstall the level check plug and torque to 30-45 inlbs(3-5 Nm)Reinstall the fill plug and torque to 40-50 ftlbs(54-68 Nm)
