FINAL DRIVE Reassembly
1Inspect the pinion shaft bushing for wear
Input Cover Bolt Torque: 25 ft.lbs(34 Nm) 4Install the original shim(s), thrust button, and thrust button shims into the gearcase coverReplace all O-rings, seals, and worn componentsApply Crankcase Sealant (PN 2871557) to surface of case and install cover boltsInstall the gearcase cover onto the gearcase housingTorque the cover bolts in criss-cross pattern to specificationInstall the pinion shaft into the gearcase housingInstall the pinion shaft cover and torque the cover bolts to specification
