NOTE: The following procedure applies to BOTH inner and outer CV joints1Remove clamps from rubber boot(s) using CV Boot Clamp Tool PU-48951 (A) and slide back boot4Refit CV joint on interconnecting shaft by tapping with soft-faced hammer on the joint housingTake care not to damage threads on the outboard CV jointThe joint is fully assembled when the compression ring is seated in the groove on the CV jointTap joint onto shaft
