FINAL DRIVE 4Remove the outer cover plate assemblyRemove and inspect the cover o-ring (1)Inspect thrust bearing (2) for wearReplace items as required6Remove the armature plateInspect the armature plate for wear, distortion or other damageReplace component as required
NOTE: Thrust bearing (2) located between the two output assemblies is pressed into the clutch pack and is not removable5Remove the output clutch assembliesInspect the bearings, contact surfaces and splines of the output clutch for signs of wear or damageVisually inspect the clutch plate areaIf plates are steel-on-steel, or if the friction material is worn, the assembly should be replacedRemove the spacerInspect for signs of wear or damageReplace component as requiredfor spacer
